REDICHECK INTERDISCIPLINARY COORDINATION

A series of checklists directs day-to-day operations during the design and construction-documentation phases. JML's consultants, in fields ranging from structural, civil, and MEP engineering to food service, provide the firm with numerous drawings. JML Architects uses the Redicheck® Interdisciplinary Coordination system, originally developed for the U.S. Navy, to coordinate and cross-check these drawings with each other and with architectural drawings.

The Project Architect and Lead Architect conduct weekly interdisciplinary reviews to identify inconsistencies between documents as well as to establish accountability for problem resolution with staff and consultants. Also, at milestones throughout each project, the Principal-in-Charge and the Lead Architect formally review the documents themselves, verifying inclusion of proper information with checklists.
