Proper management of work schedules is as important to JML Architects as it is to the client. Before beginning a project, JML outlines major phase-completion deadlines with Microsoft Project®. For internal use, the Lead Architect expands this calendar to include various levels of project-related tasks, including those of the designer's subconsultants. This allows the firm to define and monitor the critical path for all activities and optimally assign staff to specific, well-defined tasks. Furthermore, each week, the Project Architect, Lead Architect, and Design Architect(s) collaborate to assess the previous week's progress and to review tasks scheduled for the coming week. The schedule may change as necessary, either to reflect actual events or to comply with the completion date for each phase. |
